I’m a huge fan of the The Body Shop so I thought that I would share with you a few of my favourite products.
Drops of Youth liquid peel
This is definitely my all time favourite purchase from The Body Shop, I use it twice a week to get rid of any dry skin and keep my skin looking bright whilst keeping acne at bay.
Calmomile Cleansing Butter
This sumptuous cleansing butter removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft and calm.
RRP: £11 for 90ml
Satsuma body butter
The satsuma range smells absolutely divine and the body butter leaves your skin feeling nourished for days.
RRP £16 for 200ml
What are your favourite products from The Body shop?
With 2016 coming to an end I thought that I would share with you some of the products I’ve been loving this year.
Pixi Glow Tonic
I discovered this toner in October and have been using it every day since. My skin feels smoother and there is definitely a reduction in blemishes which I think is down to the 5% glycolic acid; it also does wonders for blackheads.
It retails at around £18 for 250ml
Boot’s tea tree and witch hazel charcoal face mask
I use this mask twice a week as it helps to diminish spots and is an absolute bargain at £3.89 for 50ml.
Maybelline 24 hour setting spray
Finding this setting spray has seriously changed my life, it locks my makeup in place meaning it looks just as good at 5pm as it did when I applied it at 6am.
It retails at £6.99
What have you been loving this year?
These are a selection of my most used/favourite products in April!
Maybelline Baby Lips in ‘Cherry Me’
I had been desperate to try out the baby lips line for months after reading fantastic reviews, I finally got round to it in April and was not dissapointed. The formula is extremely smooth and moisturising and the colour I got leaves a subtle red tint on the lips. Perfect!
Max Factor ‘Masterpiece’ Mascara
This mascara is fantastic at giving volume, length and separating lashes without clumping. It also lasts all day without flaking or smudging.
Bare Minerals ‘READY’ Foundation
I’ve been using (and loving) the loose powder version for years and when I ran out at the start of the month I decided to give this one a try. It works identically to the original, but seems more convenient and less product is wasted (by me spilling it everywhere!) as it is compact.
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
I found this when looking for a more affordable dupe of Benefit’s porefessional primer. It works brilliantly at smoothing pores and helping makeup last all day long, and it costs less than half the price of the benefit one, bargain!
Aussie Three Minute Miracle ‘Take The Heat’
I’ve tried this deep conditioner before but rediscovered it this month. It smells divine and leaves my knotty hair smooth and manageable. It also helps to protect against heat styling which is a huge bonus.
What were your favourite products in April?
1. Mulberry ‘Alexa’
This gorgeous bag is perfect for casual, everyday wear and instantly makes any plain outfit look classic and chic.
2. Alexander Wang ‘Rocco’
I love how edgy yet easy to wear this bag is. It also looks really spacious too, which is great if you’re anything like me and carry a lot of things around with you.
3. Celine Luggage Tote
This is an extremely classic yet versatile bag.
Which designer bag would you love to own?
I absolutely love trying out new lip sticks, balms and glosses but always come back to these five products.
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in ‘Peach Parfait’
This product is extremely hydrating and lasts for a long time on my lips. It is very buildable and can leave either an extremely sheer hint of colour or can be layered up and look extremely bold.
This retails at around £8.00
Soap and Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in ‘Punch Bowl’
These lip glosses are amazing, they last hours on my lips and give amazing colour. They also plump up your lips which is a bonus!
They retail at around £9.00
Balmi Lip Balm
This is the most moisturizing lip balm I’ve ever used and it smells amazing too. The packaging is also very convenient as you don’t need to put your finger into the tub you can apply it straight to the lips.
Retails at around £4.99
The Body Shop Lip And Cheek Stain
I got this product out of a magazine and didn’t really expect much of it, however after trying it out I realized just how great it is. It looks extremely bright when first applied to the lips, but after blotting it looks amazing! It gives a subtle red tint of colour which lasts for hours, and looks great with lip gloss on top too.
Retails at around £10.00
I love the rose and almond oil Vaseline, it softens and soothes dry lips whilst giving a subtle red tint.
Retails at around £1.99
What are your favourite lip products?
I’ve been wearing this fishtail braid a lot recently as it’s extremely convenient when your in a rush and can be done on damp hair. This is great as it means no heat which is good for your hair, and no fussing with the hairdryer in the morning. It also gives really pretty waves when you take it out which is a bonus!
It does look quite complicated but I promise you it’s not, just follow a tutorial on Youtube and once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to do it in a matter of minutes.
Do any of you have an easy, fuss free summer hairstyle?
I got this gorgeous light pink nail polish for Christmas in a set from Boots.
I created these soft curls/waves using the ‘headband curls’ method i found on Youtube. It’s extremely easy and heat free, so try it out for yourself by following this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLeSKaPaUOA
Each week I’m going to tell you about my favourite thing; whether it be a person, product or something else.
My favourite this week is nail foils.
Nail foils add an amazing effect to your nails and last for weeks; I’ve had these ones on for five days and they are still going strong! They are extremely easy to use too; all you do is stick them on, file off the edge then your done! This means that they don’t require any drying, which is great if your in a hurry and don’t have much time.
You can buy them at any drugstore, however I would recommend Boots if you live in the UK as they have a huge variety of styles and patterns to suit everyone.
I got this product out of a magazine and didn’t really expect much of it, however after trying it out I realised just how great it is. It looks extremely bright when first applied to the lips, but after blotting it looks amazing! It gives a subtle red tint of colour which lasts for hours, and looks great with lip gloss on top too.
It also looks gorgeous when used on the apples of your cheeks as it gives the skin a rosy glow whilst still looking extremely natural. I would recommend using a small amount first then building upon it to get the desired look.
Overall, this lip and cheek stain is brilliant if you’re like me and hate having to re-apply your make up through the day.
Retails at £10
