After what has seemed like the longest month my March Glossybox is finally here, and just like the last one it’s filled with five fantastic products I can’t wait to use!
The first product I saw was this sleek eye and cheek palette which I was very excited about as I’ve never tried out any sleek makeup before but have heard great things about it. I love all of the colours as they quite natural and perfect for everyday wear.
Next I saw the thisworks ‘in transit camera close up’ which is a mask, moisturiser and primer all in one and claims to hydrate skin leaving it dewy, plump and perfectly prepped for flawless makeup application. I’m sure it will live up to my expectations as I’ve never been let down by a thisworks product before.
A sample size of the F&R ‘Hydra-Activ smart nutrient day cream’ was also included and is supposed to deliver long lasting hydration and radiance with vitamins A,C and E. I’m looking forward to using this as my skin has been very dry and dull lately.
This 30ml sample of Swarskopfs ‘BC oil miracle brazilnut pulp treatment’ is for nourishing and moisturising hair whilst removing impurities. My hair has been really dry and limp over the last few months so I can’t wait to give it a go.
Lastly I received this eye cream from Oolution which is 100% natural and contains ingredients which stimulate collagen synthesis. This means you’re left with bright under eyes and reduced wrinkles, obviously I don’t have any wrinkles at 21 however it will help to prevent them!
Have you tried out any of these products?
It’s awful attempting to find a makeup routine to work on oily skin, but after years of searching I’ve finally found one that works for me.
Step 1: Primer
Firstly, after moisturizing my skin i apply Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in ‘Light’ (£25) as it is oil-free and helps keep my makeup in place.
Step 2: BB Cream
Then i apply my Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One BB Cream (£9.99) all over my face to even out my skin tone yet still keep me looking natural.
Step 3: Concealer
Then i apply my Collection 2000 ‘Lasting Perfection’ concealer (£4.19) under my eyes and to any other imperfections on my face.
Step 4: Powder
I then apply a small amount of Bare Minerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation (£25) all over my face with a big fluffy brush to keep my concealer and BB cream in place and prevent my skin from getting oily throughout the day.
Step 5: Blusher
My Body Shop blusher in ’01 Petal’ (£12) is then applied to the apples of my cheeks in downward strokes for a natural looking glow.
Step 6: Eye Shadow
I then apply my Clinique Colour Surge Stay Matte eye shadow in ‘French Vanilla’ all over my eyelids to make me look brighter and more awake. It also stops my eyelids from becoming greasy so my mascara won’t smudge everywhere.
Step 7: Mascara
I prefer to use mascaras with quite a dry formula so they last longer, my favourite at the moment is 17 Blow Out Mascara (£6.29). I apply a few coats of this after I’ve curled my eyelashes and it stays perfect all day.
Step 8: Eyeliner
I like to apply a creamy white eyeliner to my water line to make my eyes look wider. My favourite is Barry M Kohl Eye Pencil as it glides on easily and stays put.
