L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara

After running out of the third bottle of my beloved Kiko ‘ultra tech curve’ mascara I was looking around in Boot’s to try out something different. I decided to buy the L’Oreal Paris false lash sculpting mascara because it was on offer and the brush looked quite intriguing.

The sculpting brush is said to ‘line the waterline for a tightlining effect with no gaps and sculpts out lashes, defining them to reveal sculpted looking lashes from every angle.’

At first I wasn’t sure as the plastic brush looked like it would leave my straight, limp lashes looking clumpy but with just one coat they were left long and thick. It’s also very buildable and lasts perfectly all day – the photos above were taken at around 5.30pm and I applied it at 6am! I will definitely be repurchasing.

It retails at around £7.99

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser

I’ve been having a lot of problems with my skin over the past couple of months and decided that my trusty Kiehls deep pore daily cleanser just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I decided to try out something new and found that this Biore cleanser was on offer in Boots. It claimed to ‘draw out dirt & impurities, purifying pores to leave your face deeply cleansed and your skin tingly-smooth’, which sounded perfect for my oily, spot prone complexion. After using it for two weeks my skin is noticeably clearer, smoother and looks a lot healthier overall. It only retails at £4.99 too which is an absolute bargain for such an amazing product. I will definitely be repurchasing it.

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay

This new range is targeted specifically for people with hair like me who suffer from oily roots and dry ends. It claims to absorb the oils in your hair meaning you don’t need to wash it as often whilst still moisturising the ends – amazing!

Step one: Clay Masque

Step two – Shampoo

DSC0030134

Step three – conditioner

DSC003044

Step Four – Dry ShampooDSC003047

The first step is the clay masque which is supposed to be massaged into the scalp and left on for for 5 minutes to absorb any oils prior to shampooing your hair. I thought it was going to be really messy to use but it spread nicely onto my scalp and  rinsed out really easily too. Then you follow up with the shampoo and conditioner which left my hair feeling extremely soft yet light and volumised. Usually by the second day my hair is limp and needs a lot of  dry shampoo to bring it back to life, but I didn’t even need any after using this!

The only product in the collection I wasn’t impressed with was the dry shampoo which I needed by day three of not washing my hair. I found that it left my hair with a weird texture, looking worse than it did before.
